Dr Chisom Aghanwa undertook her Geriatric Medicine Advanced Training in locations across regional Queensland including Townsville and Toowoomba Hospital. She has also gained valuable experience through postings in Metropolitan Hospitals in Brisbane including Royal Brisbane and The Prince Charles Hospital.

After completing her Bachelor of Pharmacy at the University of Queensland (UQ), Dr Chisom Aghanwa proceeded to obtain her Medical degree from the Australian National University (ANU), Dr Chisom Aghanwa has trained in a broad range of settings and developed a comprehensive skillset. She has experience in tropical medicine, stroke management, dementia care, acute geriatrics, perioperative and general medicine. In addition to fellowship in Geriatric medicine, Dr Aghanwa is currently undertaking her Master of Perioperative Medicine through Monash University.

Dr Chisom Aghanwa is committed to providing high quality, compassionate and holistic care to older patients. Her work is based on partnering with patients to improve quality of life and promote health and wellbeing.

Outside of work, Dr Aghanwa is a keen runner and dancer.

Practice Locations

Dr Chisom Aghanwa currently provides regular clinics at various Residential Aged Care Facilities across the Northern Brisbane suburbs.
