Dr Danusha De Alwis is a graduate from University College of Dublin and migrated to Australia in 2010.
Dr De Alwis primarily practices at Ipswich General hospital and works across inpatient and outpatient services. As an accredited supervisor for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, she is actively involved in training registrars at both Basic and Advanced Levels.
Dr De Alwis is dedicated to delivering individualised care that prioritises the autonomy and independence of each patient and strives to provide high-quality healthcare for older individuals facing various health challenges.

Dr Danusha De Alwis provides comprehensive outpatient geriatric services at Beyond Specialists Brisbane, St. Vincent’s Private Hospital, Kangaroo Point and regular clinics at various Residential Aged Care Facilities across the Brisbane region.

Areas of Interest
Dr De Alwis has a
special interest in the diagnosis and management of dementia, optimisation of
chronic conditions, osteoporosis, falls and Parkinson’s disease in the elderly.
She also aims to broaden her practice to include more services in Residential
Aged Care settings and perioperative medicine.
